These Terms of Service apply to all orders of premade and custom book covers purchased through this website. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms.
A contract is concluded when an order is accepted by Sarah-Design or when payment has been received and the order process has started. Premade covers are offered as completed designs and are reserved for one customer once purchased and customized with the required details, such as book title and author name. Custom covers are created individually according to the agreement between the customer and Sarah-Design.
All prices are stated in Euro (€). Any applicable taxes or additional charges will be communicated during the ordering process. Payment can only be made using the payment methods provided on this website. Currently, PayPal is accepted as a payment method.
For new customers or custom book cover projects, prepayment may be required before the design process begins. The customer is responsible for completing payment within the specified timeframe. If payment is not received, Sarah-Design reserves the right to cancel the order or make the cover available to other customers.
Book covers are delivered digitally after the design process has been completed, required payments have been received, and any necessary approvals have been provided. Delivery times may vary depending on the complexity of the project, requested adjustments, and current workload.
Any stated completion times are estimates and serve as general guidelines only. Final files are delivered electronically via email in the agreed format and resolution.
Premade covers are sold only once. Each purchased design is assigned to a single customer and will not be resold after purchase.
Copyright and ownership of the original design remain with Sarah-Design. The customer receives the agreed usage rights for the purchased cover and may use the design for the specified book project, including publication, sales, and promotional purposes.
Reselling, sharing, transferring, or using the design for other projects without permission is not allowed. Third-party modifications of the design are not permitted unless agreed upon in advance.
Minor adjustments may be requested by the customer, including changes to typography, text placement, or small color corrections. Larger modifications, additional concepts, or complete redesign requests may require an additional fee.
Customers may request cancellation before the customization process has started. Once work on a customized design has begun, cancellation may no longer be possible due to the individual nature of the service.
For digital products and delivered files, the right of withdrawal may expire once the customer has expressly agreed to the immediate start of the service and the delivery of digital content, where legally applicable.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information required for the creation of the book cover, including but not limited to book title, author name, genre information, and any specific design requirements.
For print book covers, customers are responsible for providing the correct specifications from their chosen printing service, including required dimensions, trim size, spine width, bleed requirements, and any other technical requirements necessary for printing.
Sarah-Design is not responsible for delays, incorrect formatting, or printing issues caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or missing information provided by the customer.
If no specific print specifications are provided, the cover may be created using a standard paperback format. Additional adjustments required due to different printing specifications may be subject to additional charges.
Sarah-Design is liable for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, loss of profit, printing errors, incorrect customer information, or problems caused by third-party services is excluded where legally permitted.
The provider is not responsible for delays or errors resulting from incorrect customer-provided information or missing technical specifications.
Sarah-Design reserves the right to display completed designs for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
Customer information is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where applicable. Personal data is used only for order processing, communication, and providing the requested services.
Data may be shared with trusted service providers where necessary for payment processing, hosting, communication, or fulfilling the order.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Germany. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain unaffected.
